I do some private music teaching and coaching, mainly for kids but for some adults as well, and I find it really rewarding.
This week, the mum of one of the kids I am teaching asked me if there are any video games that her son could play to help and enhance his music learning.
It's not something I really thought about before, so I downloaded a few games onto my R4 card to see if any of them are actually any good or educational.

There aren't really many that are enjoyable and will help with piano, but there are plenty of music games that will help with rhythm-keeping, hand co-ordination and general music aesthetics.
Guitar Hero and Rock Band great, but better when you have the actual guitars and drums. Elite Beat Agents and Daigasso Band Brothers are good for rhythm keeping and they're fun.
